The Art of Cooking

The Art of Cooking is the result of a student led project featuring recipes from around the world kindly donated by Kingsbury High School parents, carers, staff and students. The cook book was designed and illustrated entirely in school and was specially printed by Martin Lacey at People for Print through the kind support of Mayfair Sports and Kingsbury High School.

Key Stage 4 Coordinator for Art & Design, Jennifer Kincaid said “The aim of the book is to promote home cooking, healthy eating, and the bond that is created through cooking and eating together as a family.”

Ms Kincaid and student Zaenab Iqbal, who contributed a recipe for Afghan Cookies, presented school Library Manager, Josephine Woods, with two copies of the book for the school’s libraries. Ms Woods said “It is great to receive these books that combine three of my favourite things; art, reading and cooking. I’m sure our students will love them.”

The Art of Cooking was launched by contributing students at the school’s Kingsbury Coming Together event in June where copies sold like hot cakes!

The Art of Cooking is available for £5. To reserve your copy, please contact: jennifer.kincaid@kingsburyhigh.org.uk
