Students at Kingsbury High School had the opportunity to think about how they would vote this morning (Thursday 23rd June) in the ‘Kingsbury High School Mock EU Referendum’. Polling stations were set up in classrooms during form time where students had a short discussion with their form tutor and then placed their vote.

The results are as follows:

The Returning officer for the Kingsbury High School EU Referendum can confirm the following votes were cast in the EU Referendum. The number of students who voted was 1,216

The number of votes cast to Remain in the EU was 833

The number of votes to Leave the EU was: 376

The number of spoilt votes was: 9

We hereby declare that Kingsbury High School has voted to Remain in the EU.

Below is the breakdown of each of the Year constituencies:

Year 7 – The number of votes cast was 296 votes.
The number of votes cast to remain in the EU was 169
The number of votes to leave the EU was 125
The number of spoilt votes was 2.
We declare Year 7 voted to remain in the EU

Year 8 – The number of votes cast was 285 votes.
The number of votes cast to remain in the EU was 185
The number of votes to leave the EU was 99
The number of spoilt votes was 1.
We declare Year 8 voted to remain in the EU.

Year 9 – The number of votes cast was 264 votes.
The number of votes cast to remain in the EU was 204
The number of votes to leave the EU was 60
The number of spoilt votes was 1
We declare Year 9 voted to remain in the EU

Year 10 – The number of votes cast was 273 votes.
The number of votes cast to remain in the EU was 209
The number of votes to leave the EU was 61
The number of spoilt votes were 3
We declare Year 10 voted to remain in the EU.

Sixth Form – The number of votes cast 98.
The number of votes cast to remain in the EU was 66
The number of votes to leave the EU was 31
The number of spoilt votes was 2.
The Sixth form voted to remain in the EU
