On Monday 20th June 2016 students held an intimate ribbon cutting ceremony, in the school’s ‘quiet’ garden, to unveil a memorial bench in memory of their much-loved teacher, Mr Humble.
The students, who had Mr Humble as their form tutor, raised money for the bench through bake sales and donations.
During the ceremony, student, Atrin Golesorkhi, gave a heart-felt speech in which he said “I had the pleasure of having Mr Humble as a form tutor. He was a very encouraging person and always wanted the best for our form group. We were all devastated when we received the news of Mr Humble’s passing.”
Atrin went on to say “It was lovely to see his family there so that we could give our condolences in person. We hope we made them proud.”
