Senior Citizen’s Christmas Party

Senior Citizen's Christmas Party

Our Christmas party for senior citizens was held on Tuesday 16th December 2014. Our visitors came from the Kingsbury area (the Veteran’s Club; Harrod Court housing with care; The Willows care home; members of local church groups; and several ex-members of staff).

The afternoon entertainment included Boccia (indoor bowling), a quiz, a presentation of ‘the life at Kingsbury High School, a talent contest and carol singing. The afternoon ended with a Christmas tea.

School Governor and active member of the community, Valerie Pope, said “We would like to thank the Year 12 students, the many members of staff and former staff that helped make it an enjoyable afternoon.”

  1. I just couldn’t believe my eyes! The hall has not changed one bit since I attended what was Kingsbury County Grammar school from 1944 – 1949. I remember the pupils standing there in rows for morning assembly – no sitting on chairs or on the floor. I always seemed to be in a row on the right – now I come to think of it – the girls stood on the right and the boys on the left.
I would qualify to be one of the visitors in the picture now if I lived anywhere near!!
